Are you an Environmental Manager looking for a challenge? Join us!

You are a high performer with an environmentally oriented education from a well renowed university, with experience in implementing environmental management systems, as well as work on sustainability topics linked to new production, major renovations and supply chain, and great ambitions to make a difference. To be part of something that creates impact. To be part of something contributing to a long-term sustainable society! You know you are attractive on the job market – so why would you choose to work with us? Well, we think we may offer you something quite unique.

Heimstaden is a leading and fast growing privately owned real estate company in Europe. Through our values, Care, Dare and Share, we create values for our owners and other stakeholders, and friendly homes for our customers. Currently we have about 50 300 apartments and a property value of approximately SEK 108 billion and we have no intentions of slowing down. As an Environmental Manager, you will be part of a high performing team, working with strategic, operational, and technical sustainability issues. As this is a new position, focus will initially be on the establishment of an environmental management system. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior management at group level and country level, our Asset Management and Operations organizations and different external stakeholders. To strengthen and secure our environmental focus, we need you to join our sustainability team in Malmö. We can offer you challenging and varying tasks in a company with bright and driven colleagues. You will naturally have the opportunity to pursue a career with us, and we believe you have at least 5 years of experience, we will initially need you to;

  • Establish, implement and manage an environmental management system

  • Ensure a common and consistent approach to environmental work across the Heimstaden Group

  • Conduct research/intelligence regarding environmental aspects in construction, major renovations and supply chain

  • Contribute to concept development regarding sustainable construction – e.g. creating conditions for our customers to live sustainably

  • Monitor environmental performance

  • Communicate with environmental stakeholders in the real estate industry and presenting environmental performance and results to relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Educate, support and co-operate with our colleagues locally, regionally and internationally

  • Be part of building and continuously develop the work processes regarding sustainability

To fit with us and to succeed in the role we believe you have strong influential skills, analytical and critical thinking with the ability to structure and prioritize your daily work. You enjoy working with a variety of projects. People like you and you like people. This position includes many relations across Heimstaden; therefore, it is important that you are capable of communicating complex information and that you are comfortable having daily contact with colleagues throughout the organization. You dare challenge and have a strong integrity. Thanks to all of the above, you are grounded and lack interest in prestige. You love to win - but as a part of a team – and have a WE before ME mentality. And yes, we do want you to have that degree in Environmental studies or similar from a well renowed university and experience from the construction industry. If this sounds interesting, please do not hesitate to send us your application and go to www.heimstaden.com and read more about our values and what our co-workers do and how they feel about working here.
